About SS-AVL

SS-AVL is a low-cost Automatic Vehicle Location System designed by Sorokasoft India. This system allows your moving asset/ vehicle to be tracked from any where in the world. The system employs Satellite based GPS (Global Positioning System) technology to accurately locate the vehicle.

About SS-AVL

SS-AVL handles the remote communication through standard Digital Communication Networks viz., GSM, CDMA, VUHF, INMARSAT. SS-AVL has several trigger inputs and general purpose outputs allowing Automobile sub-systems to interface with SS-AVL. These can be used for Fuel monitoring, Engine Health, immobilization, Alarms, Anti-Theft, etc. SS-AVL features a Panic Push Button to alert the remote monitoring station of a possible panic/ emergency situation. SS-AVL system consists of a vehicle unit, base control unit, application software and software drivers for custom application development.

Vehicle Unit is a rugged, weather proof box, fitted in the vehicle and draws power directly from the Vehicle Battery. GPS Receiver embedded in the SS-AVL-Vehicle Unit gets information of location and transmits it to the SS-AVL-BCU, base control unit through communication network.

Base Control Unit which is installed at a centralized base location/ monitoring station, gets the information and stores the information in a database and also notifies the application software.

SS-AVL is bundled with application software which shows vehicle information in textual and graphic form on a background location map. The application software allows custom maps to be loaded based on user requirement.

SS-AVL is supplied with a set of drivers/ SDK/ API which will enable an user to develop custom applications.
